About Pro-Form Insurance

Pro-Form BC has been providing E&O coverage to BC Brokers since 1994. Owned and operated by Jim Ball & Carson Thompson. Pro-Form BC brings a specialized focus to protecting brokers from E&O exposures and provides risk management strategies that will protect brokerage operations.

Jim Ball

Jim Ball is a BC registered insurance broker and is past president of the Insurance Brokers Association of British Columbia and the Insurance Brokers Association of Canada. He is currently an executive committee and board member of the CFIB, the Canadian Federation of Independent Business. In 2007 Jim was Insurance Person of the Year.
Jim has extensive knowledge of the insurance business. Before becoming a broker he worked for 17 years in Claims adjusting, underwriting, marketing and management for two leading Canadian insurers. Jim has been a broker for 27 years and is the President of Pro-Form BC.

Carson Thompson

Carson Thompson is a registered insurance broker and is the retired President of InsureBC Underwriting Services Inc, the Western Vice President of the Federation Insurance Company of Canada and ex-branch manager of the Dominion of Canada General Insurance Company. His insurance knowledge spans more than thirty years as an underwriter, claims adjuster, claims manager and regional manager in the Prairie and British Columbia territories. He has been a Lloyd's coverholder for the past 5 years in his capacity as a Managing General Agent. He is the Vice President of Pro-Form BC.
Carson's experience in dealing with Broker's Errors and Omissions coverage and the claims generated by various insurance operations throughout Western Canada, lends itself well to assisting Pro-FormBC's clients in dealing with and more importantly avoiding, costly and time consuming mishaps.

Casey Zimmerman

Casey Zimmerman is a Commercial Account Manager. She started her career in insurance in 2010 with a small brokerage learning various types of insurance. She worked at Willis Canada in 2011 where she found her passion for commercial insurance. Over the past two years she has studied the Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker courses and obtained her level 2 license.
